Atiqa Mir, a talented young racer from India, concluded her impressive performance in the WSK Super Masters by securing an eighth-place finish out of 53 drivers in the final round. This achievement made her the top-ranked female participant in the premier karting series.

Transitioning voluntarily from the mini category to the junior category at the beginning of 2026, Atiqa, at the age of 11, showcased her exceptional skills throughout the five-round series. Competing in the OK-NJ class, she became the first Indian racer to receive support from the Formula 1 Academy.

During the WSK championship and the European leg of the COTFA series, Atiqa claimed one podium finish, recorded two fastest laps, achieved eight top-6 finishes, and secured an impressive second-place finish in one of the qualifying sessions.

Apart from being the highest-ranked female driver in the WSK series, Atiqa also emerged as the best Indian driver in the competition. Despite facing some unfortunate incidents that prevented her from more podium finishes, Atiqa’s determination and talent were evident throughout the series.

In her final race weekend, Atiqa displayed her speed and consistency by setting the seventh fastest time in qualifying and finishing in the top positions in the heat races. Despite starting 13th on the grid for the final, she managed to climb up to seventh place before ultimately finishing in eighth place.

This performance confirmed Atiqa’s reputation as a top driver in the world of karting, capable of competing with and even defeating the best drivers in the sport. Beginning her OK-NJ debut at La Conca Round in January, Atiqa, at just 11 years old, showcased her potential in challenging Italian conditions.

Reflecting on her WSK campaign, Atiqa expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate in such prestigious competitions, highlighting the valuable learning experiences gained over the past eight weeks of intense karting. Despite facing challenges, she emphasized her growth as a driver and her determination to excel in the sport.

Atiqa’s promising journey in karting was supported by her sponsor, RAISE, as she continues to make strides in the competitive world of motorsport.
