Three individuals have been apprehended following the discovery of a distressing scene where 29 deceased dogs were found in a garden, while 24 other dogs were located in poor condition. Curtis Dewayne Haralson, Patricia Ann Sims, and Tiffany Ann Sims were taken into custody after law enforcement responded to a neighbor’s tip about the situation. The deceased dogs were discovered in plastic bags in the backyard, ranging from puppies to fully grown canines. Additionally, 24 emaciated dogs were found inside the residence. Although no charges have been filed yet, the sheriff’s office stated that felony charges are likely for the trio.

In a separate incident in Alabama, Marchelle Pertilla and Eugene Medrano were arrested for alleged child neglect after their 14-year-old daughter was found living in unsanitary conditions in a caravan with seven dogs, one of which was deceased. Pertilla faces charges of child abuse and six counts of dog cruelty, while Medrano is charged with five counts of dog cruelty by the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office. The living conditions were described as filthy, with the trailer covered in waste, insects, and debris. The young girl revealed that her parents were residing in Florida while she remained in Alabama.

The parents were charged after the investigation revealed the dire living conditions of the girl. According to reports, the mother claimed the juvenile wanted to stay with her service animals. Sheriff Paul Burch expressed concerns about the situation and the lack of intervention from others. The investigation continues to unravel the circumstances surrounding the girl’s living conditions.
