Hired as a temporary worker at just 15 years old, he dedicated his entire career to the same company, surpassing his 100th birthday while still employed there.

Born in Brazil to German parents in 1922, Walter’s journey began when he left school at 15 to support his family financially. Starting as a packing assistant in 1938, he eventually climbed the ranks to become a successful Sales Manager, showcasing versatility in various roles within the textile company ReneauxView.
Walter’s prolonged tenure was partly influenced by Brazil’s stringent labor laws, which set retirement age thresholds but do not mandate cessation of work upon pension receipt. However, public sector employees face compulsory retirement at 75, illustrating distinct regulations for different sectors.
Despite reaching the age of 102 in August 2024, Walter never chose to retire, embodying a lifelong dedication to his work until his passing.
