Carol McGiffin’s husband, Mark Cassidy, did not approve of her facelift, as revealed recently. The former Loose Women star underwent the cosmetic procedure in 2018. Although Carol, aged 65, is satisfied with the outcome, she has decided against any future surgeries due to the distressing nature of the previous experience.
When questioned about the possibility of additional surgery, Carol, who married her 43-year-old partner in Bangkok in February 2018, expressed her reluctance. She stated that the previous facelift, performed in 2018, was too traumatic to consider repeating. While the end result was positive, the process itself was described as harsh and unpleasant.
In a previous confession in October 2025, the TV personality disclosed her dissatisfaction with the longevity of the facelift, admitting she had begun to dislike her appearance. Despite this, she emphasized self-love and acknowledged the impact of aging and sun exposure on her features.
Carol mentioned that she regretted not opting for less invasive treatments like Botox over the years. She expressed envy towards women who maintain a youthful appearance through regular treatments. Additionally, she highlighted her husband’s appreciation for her natural look, despite the age gap and his own aging process.
The celebrity also referenced Shirley Ballas, a fellow 65-year-old, who invested in non-surgical treatments to rejuvenate her skin. Carol’s candid reflections on aging and beauty resonated with her audience, showcasing her authenticity and humor.
