A man in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district, suspected of being intoxicated, has been accused of killing his wife during a dispute about her behavior. Subas Gond, the perpetrator, allegedly murdered his wife, Manai Gond, after a quarrel that occurred on April 11 upon their return from a wedding event with their children. The tragic incident transpired in Borgaan village on Sunday.

The altercation between the couple intensified due to suspicions about the woman’s conduct, leading to a violent confrontation where Subas reportedly attacked her, resulting in her immediate death. The victim’s relatives have asserted that Subas was inebriated at the time of the incident.

Subsequently, the accused disposed of the body inside the septic tank on their premises. The matter was brought to light when the couple’s four-year-old son, who witnessed the event, sought help from neighbors and family members, prompting the community to confront the perpetrator.

Initially attempting to deceive them, Subas eventually admitted his actions due to mounting pressure. Upon being notified by locals, the police intervened, recovered the body, and apprehended the suspect for interrogation.
