Vivo is preparing to introduce the Vivo T5 Pro in India on April 15, expanding its T-series range with a new model. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has officially announced the launch through X. The upcoming device will come equipped with a sizable battery and a Snapdragon chipset, succeeding the previously released Vivo T4 Pro. It will be offered in two color variants and will be sold through Flipkart.
Vivo has initiated teasers for the Vivo T5 Pro online, updating a microsite on Flipkart to unveil essential specifications and design elements before the official launch. As the unveiling date nears, additional details about the device are expected to be disclosed through the microsite.
The Vivo T5 Pro 5G is anticipated to boast a massive 9,020mAh battery, a significant improvement from the 6,500mAh capacity in the Vivo T4 Pro. Moreover, it is likely to support rapid 90W charging. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the device may feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, offering a notable upgrade from the Vivo T4 Pro’s full-HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Vivo T5 Pro 5G is projected to be powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and will operate on Android 16 with OriginOS 6. It is also expected to carry IP68+ and IP69+ ratings for improved dust and water resistance.
In terms of pricing, the smartphone is likely to fall within the mid-range segment, with the base model including 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage anticipated to be priced around Rs 29,999. For comparison, the Vivo T4 Pro debuted in India at Rs 27,999. The device features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Internally, the device is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It operates on Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15 and is promised to receive up to four major Android updates.
For photography enthusiasts, the Vivo T4 Pro sports a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and an additional auxiliary sensor. On the front side, it houses a 32MP selfie camera capable of recording 4K videos.
The device is supported by a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging, along with reverse wired charging and bypass charging capabilities. It features IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
