A surprise-filled late-night drive took a dark turn, leading to a tragic triple murder case in the Chicago suburbs. The focal point of the incident is Jenna Strouble, a 30-year-old woman accused of killing Jacob Lambert, the father of her children, along with his parents.
Prosecutors allege that Strouble enticed Lambert to go on a drive late at night on March 22, under the pretense of a surprise. The duo eventually stopped at a remote location, where she revealed she had a “surprise” for him.
Carrying a massage gun for Lambert’s back pain, Strouble instructed him to recline his seat, remove his shirt, and lay on his stomach. Subsequently, she straddled his back and massaged him for around 20 minutes. During this time, she retrieved a Glock handgun equipped with a suppressor hidden under the seat. Prosecutors claim that she held the gun to Lambert’s head while massaging him, eventually shooting him.
Following Lambert’s murder, Strouble reportedly smoked a cigarette and then proceeded to Lambert’s parents’ residence. Allegedly, she tried to enter the house using Lambert’s keys, and upon Patrick Forde, his stepfather, opening the door, she started shooting. Court documents state that she fired 17 shots at the entrance, leading to the fatal shooting of Lambert’s mother, Stacy Forde, who came downstairs upon hearing the commotion.
Authorities indicate that the attack happened swiftly inside the house, leaving no chance for the victims to escape.
The incident came to light when Strouble’s sister made a 911 call, disclosing that Strouble had confessed to shooting three individuals. She mentioned communication issues with Lambert and resentment towards his treatment of their children. Strouble was subsequently apprehended in Indiana, where she was found with a firearm believed to be used in the murders.
Prosecutors revealed that Strouble admitted to planning the attack, mentioning that the drive was arranged with the intention to harm Lambert. She is currently facing nine counts of first-degree murder and remains in custody as legal proceedings progress. Strouble offered minimal explanations, citing dissatisfaction with Lambert’s conduct and labeling his parents as “overbearing.”
