A man was arrested by the police after he allegedly broke into a temple office and stole Rs 8,500 cash, then fell asleep inside due to exhaustion. The incident occurred at the Kuzhuvalvattam Sree Bhagathy temple in Kudappanamoodu, Amboori.
Upon arrival at the temple office around 5.30 am, members of the temple committee were surprised to find the doors broken and a man sleeping inside. The culprit, identified as Senthil (40) from Tamil Nadu, had stolen the cash before resting at the scene.
The temple staff promptly notified the police, leading to the arrest of the accused. Vellarada police took him into custody, where he was charged and detained for his involvement in multiple theft cases. The man was later presented in court and remanded to judicial custody.
