Davina McCall has shared insights about her recent wedding day, shedding light on the significance of her unique ring which features a prosthetic replica of her husband Michael Douglas’ eyeball.
The couple, who recently exchanged vows, now both wear rings with miniature versions of each other’s eyes embedded in them. Davina, 57, expressed that wearing the ring brings her comfort, especially when she is away from Michael, as it makes her feel his presence.
Michael, 52, explained that the rings were created by a company specializing in prosthetic eyes. These rings are typically crafted for individuals in need of an artificial eye, and the company repurposed the technology to create the personalized wedding bands for Davina and Michael.
The intimate wedding ceremony was attended by only 11 guests, and both Davina and Michael shared emotional moments, with Michael revealing that they shed tears during the event. The wedding took place shortly after Davina’s engagement in Ibiza and a month following her breast cancer diagnosis, further highlighting the significance of the occasion.
Despite undergoing surgery for the breast cancer diagnosis and a previous procedure for a benign brain tumor in 2024, Davina remains resilient. She expressed gratitude for the support from her husband, Michael, during her health challenges.
