The Aam Aadmi Party has launched a strong criticism against one of its own members, Raghav Chadha, with party officials sharing videos condemning the Punjab MP. Until recently, Chadha, who was once considered a close ally of Arvind Kejriwal, was known for addressing issues concerning the common people in the Rajya Sabha. However, the party removed him from his position as deputy leader, alleging that he was not addressing the “real issues.”
Chadha is currently facing severe backlash from his party colleagues, who accuse him of hesitating to criticize PM Modi and not supporting the party’s stance. The criticism escalated after Chadha spoke out against his replacement by Ashok Mittal, claiming that the move was an attempt to silence him.
In a video statement, Chadha expressed his concern over the party’s formal request to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat to prevent him from speaking on behalf of AAP. He questioned why his discussions on public welfare had upset the party leadership, stating, “I am silenced, not defeated.”
Following these events, Chadha removed the AAP affiliation from his bio, fueling speculation about a possible departure from the party. While AAP leaders continued to criticize Chadha, the BJP commended him for his outspoken nature and criticized Kejriwal for his handling of the situation.
The rift between AAP leaders and Chadha has now become public, with party officials accusing him of avoiding important issues and focusing on trivial matters. The party leaders emphasized Chadha’s failure to stand with the party on various occasions, leading to a significant internal conflict within AAP.
