A tragic incident unfolded in Ghaziabad when the body of a four-year-old girl was found beneath a parked car on a poorly lit road, sparking a harrowing chain of events exposing a heinous crime.
At approximately 8 pm on April 11, a police patrol received a distressing report about a child’s body under a vehicle on an 80-foot road in the Shalimar Garden area. Upon arrival, officers discovered the child’s lifeless form hidden under the car.
Investigations led the police to suspect the victim’s uncle, Jameel, also known as Chhotu, who resided in close proximity. Allegedly, the child was alone at home when the uncle lured her to his room. Subsequently, her body was discovered clandestinely placed under a car, indicating an attempt to conceal the crime.
POST-MORTEM REVEALS GRIM REALITY
Authorities revealed that the post-mortem examination confirmed the child had been sexually assaulted and strangled before being hidden.
“The post-mortem report has verified that the girl was sexually assaulted and murdered before her body was concealed,” a senior officer stated, as per PTI reports.
Evidence of injuries on her neck and private areas pointed towards the severity of the atrocities she endured.
FROM GRIEF TO OUTRAGE
Struggling to cope with the loss, family members accused the man of a troubled history. Their sorrow spilled onto the streets, demanding swift apprehension and stringent punishment.
Some relatives have called for police intervention, while local women rallied for justice in the area.
Authorities have filed charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, along with provisions of the POCSO Act.
Police operations are underway, with multiple teams conducting raids to locate the fugitive perpetrator. “The culprit will be apprehended soon,” an officer affirmed as search teams expanded their efforts across nearby regions.
