“Apple Teases iPhone 18 Pro: Dark Cherry & Enhanced Features”

Must read

Apple is stirring up excitement for its upcoming iPhone models well ahead of the usual September launch window. Speculations are already circulating about the potential features of the iPhone 18 Pro, hinting at some intriguing upgrades. One notable change could be the introduction of a new color option, Dark Cherry, replacing the vibrant Cosmic Orange seen on the iPhone 17 Pro.

Reports from Macworld, citing sources familiar with Apple’s supply chain, suggest that the iPhone 18 Pro series will showcase the Dark Cherry color as a signature finish, offering a more sophisticated alternative to last year’s bold hue. Alongside Dark Cherry, Apple is exploring additional color variations for the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, including Light Blue, a darker shade of grey, and a silver option, although these choices are subject to change as the devices have not yet entered mass production.

In terms of design, sources indicate that the iPhone 18 Pro models will maintain a similar appearance to their predecessors, with minor enhancements expected. The Dynamic Island feature is anticipated to be smaller, providing more screen space when not displaying Live Activities. Furthermore, there may be a slight reduction in the gap between the rear glass cutout and the camera bump, though this adjustment is not confirmed.

Internally, Apple is gearing up for significant upgrades with the inclusion of the A20 Pro chip, manufactured using TSMC’s 2nm process, and the new C2 modem for enhanced 5G connectivity and improved battery efficiency. The Pro Max variant is rumored to sport a larger battery capacity of around 5,200mAh. Camera capabilities are also set to receive a boost, with talks of a variable aperture on the main 48MP camera and a potential upgrade to a 24MP front camera, promising greater creative control and improved performance in various lighting conditions.

The foldable iPhone, possibly named the iPhone Ultra, is expected to debut alongside the Pro models in September 2026, while the standard iPhone 18 release might be delayed to 2027. Apple is reportedly aiming to launch the base model and the iPhone 18e in spring 2027.

Overall, the iPhone 18 Pro lineup seems poised to deliver notable improvements across design, performance, and photography, setting the stage for an exciting release in the coming months.
