Recently released documents unveiled that the 37-year-old mother was shot more times than initially believed, with reports indicating she sustained three head shots from the agent’s firearm. First responders arrived at the scene to find the mother of three unresponsive in her vehicle, covered in blood, at 9.42 am, according to a report from the Minneapolis Fire Department.
The distressing account detailed the medics’ frantic efforts to save Renee’s life after ICE officer Jonathan Ross fatally shot her. The confrontation occurred as Renee’s car was surrounded by ICE officers, and she reportedly resisted opening her car door. Despite attempts to drive away, she was shot multiple times by the ICE agent in Minneapolis.
Medical personnel noted that Renee was not breathing and had an erratic pulse as they assessed her injuries, which included four gunshot wounds – two on her right chest, one on the left side of her head, and another on her forearm, with blood flowing from her left ear. In an attempt to de-escalate the situation involving law enforcement and bystanders, paramedics moved Renee from her vehicle to the pavement, where she remained unresponsive and pulseless.
Transported to a hospital by ambulance, CPR efforts ceased at 10.30 am. Shockingly, members of Trump’s administration swiftly defended the ICE agent responsible for Renee’s death, with JD Vance labeling the tragedy as self-inflicted. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem accused Renee of trying to run over the officer and referred to her actions as “domestic terrorism.”
Amid controversial statements from Republican officials, body camera footage from the ICE agent was released, casting doubt on their initial claims. Identified as ICE agent Jonathan Ross, the shooter resides in a Minneapolis suburb with his wife, described by neighbors as a staunch supporter of the MAGA movement, showcasing pro-Trump flags and related symbols outside his home during the Presidential race.
