A young woman, aged 21, from Nagpur, Maharashtra, has come forward with allegations of rape, blackmail, and coerced marriage. This has led to the filing of a police report against five individuals, with the main suspect, Mustaq Shakeel Ansari, being apprehended. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Kapil Nagar police station.
The victim stated that Ansari, her former school acquaintance, lured her to a spot near a temple by the Pili river on November 5, 2025. Subsequently, he took her to a relative’s residence where he allegedly committed the assault. Additionally, another individual named Raja Sheikh, along with two accomplices, purportedly filmed the assault and used the video to manipulate her into marriage.
The complainant further detailed instances of physical abuse, emotional coercion, visits to purported occult practitioners, and being compelled to consume meat against her wishes. After the forced marriage, she resided with the perpetrators but eventually approached the authorities to report the crimes.
Following her testimony, authorities have initiated legal proceedings against the five suspects involved. The primary culprit has been detained, and investigations are ongoing. The police have advised the public to stay vigilant, report any instances of coercion, and avoid falling victim to fraudulent individuals claiming divine powers.
