An expert from British Gas has shared a tip on how to warm up your house without turning on the central heating.
Jessica Rawstron, a smart energy engineer, suggests leaving your oven door open after cooking to utilize the residual heat escaping from the appliance.
Rawstron advises, “Instead of closing the oven door after cooking, leave it open to allow the heat to gradually warm up your kitchen space.
“This method not only helps maintain a warm environment while dining but also ensures safety by keeping children and pets away from the oven door.”
British Gas also recommends various winter preparation tips, such as sealing gaps around windows and doors to prevent draughts.
