Must read

In the city of Jhunjhunu, renowned for its brave army personnel, Mukul Choudhary emerged as a new hero. Displaying valor akin to a soldier, Mukul stepped up to bat for Lucknow Super Giants when they faced adversity against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Facing a daunting challenge from Sunil Narine, Mukul showcased strength and precision to counter the KKR bowlers effectively. With 30 runs required from the final two overs, the young LSG batsman took on Cameron Green and Vaibhav Arora to secure a vital win for his team.

Mukul credited his bold approach to the resilient spirit of his hometown, known for nurturing soldiers who serve at the border. During the post-match presentation, he expressed, “It’s in my blood. I’m playing cricket here, but they defend the country at the borders.”

Driven by his father’s aspirations and a passion for cricket, Mukul, hailing from Rajasthan and admiring MS Dhoni, shared his journey from Jhunjhunu to Sikar, Jaipur, and eventually Delhi to enhance his skills.

Starting his cricketing journey at the age of 12-13, Mukul reminisced about his father’s dream and the challenges his family faced initially. Training at SBS Cricket Academy in Sikar and later in Jaipur, he transitioned to Delhi for T20 exposure last year, recognizing the demand for fast-paced cricket.

Recalling a standout performance in an Under-19 match against Uttar Pradesh, Mukul highlighted his ability to deliver under pressure. Despite the odds, he partnered with Avesh Khan to clinch victory with an impressive display of boundaries and sixes.

With a simple strategy to bat till the end, Mukul emphasized his self-belief and focus on seizing opportunities. Lucknow Super Giants will now prepare to host Gujarat Titans on Sunday, April 12.
