The lifeless body of a well-known reality TV personality and disc jockey has been found washed ashore on a popular tourist beach, following his mysterious disappearance a week earlier. Maycon Douglas, aged 26, went missing after a New Year’s Eve DJ gig at a local bar and was last seen heading home with a friend. His body was discovered on Wednesday, a week after he vanished.
Prior to the tragic discovery, authorities had located Maycon’s submerged car in the sea near North Beach, Nazaré, situated north of Lisbon, Portugal. Fisherman Antonio Silva played a pivotal role in recovering Maycon’s body from the waters, identifying him through his distinctive tattoos.
The grim revelation occurred close to where his vehicle was initially found. Maycon’s mother, distressed by her son’s absence, fell ill and was hospitalized the day before his body was uncovered.
His girlfriend, Raquel Coelho, expressed her sorrow on social media, reminiscing about their unexpected bond and longing for his return. Maycon, originally from Brazil but residing in Portugal since childhood, awaits an autopsy report to determine the precise cause of his demise, with authorities not ruling out foul play.
Maycon gained fame after appearing on the eighth season of the Portuguese reality show ‘Secret Story – Casa dos Segredos,’ aired by TVI. He amassed a significant online following on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, boasting 50,000 and 22,000 followers, respectively.

This unfortunate event follows the tragic death of an esteemed Australian DJ, Courtney Mills, who suffered a fatal accident during her vacation in Bali the previous January. Courtney, aged 37, tragically fell from a hotel balcony in Kuta, sustaining severe injuries that led to her passing despite emergency medical efforts.
