Menzies had a physical outburst at the table after losing his first-round game, resulting in injuries. Despite their past relationship, Sherrock’s behavior has been viewed as light-hearted and without ill intent.
PDC CEO Matt Porter emphasized the organization’s readiness to support Menzies following his emotional reaction to his defeat. Porter highlighted the importance of prioritizing the well-being and health of all players in such situations.
Both Sherrock and Menzies faced early exits from the tournament. Sherrock struggled with her doubles against Chisnall, leading to a 3-0 defeat.
